Description
The MPZ is a versatile electro-mechanical unit made up of a motor-driven potentiometer interfaced with an electronic controller and function circuit. The unit is highly compact and user friendly, manufactured in technical collaboration with Micronor AG, Switzerland. The 10-turn variable resistor can represent different continuous physical phenomena in terms of electrical equivalence, and its positional repeatability helps in developing closed-loop control for processes as well as machines. The electronic controller provides locking limits to the motor-driven pot at the maximum and minimum positions; a friction coupling protects the motor when the pot is varied manually. Remote programming of the set point is possible via RAISE & LOWER commands, and relays in the controller can be used for positional feedback of the machine shaft.
